Donason Deen Institution has no specially allocated holidays, as we need maximum time to complete the syllabus in depth. It should be noted that the holidays are kept to a minimum as our aim is to ensure that the syllabus is completed in depth. As the O level syllabus conducted in government schools is spread over a minimum period of 2 years for express students, any term or semester breaks included would leave us with insufficient time to provide quality coverage of the O level syllabus.

The only days during which there will be no classes are public holidays of Singapore. The holidays for the academic year 2012 will be as follows:

Chinese New Year (23rd and 24th January), Good Friday (6th April), Labour Day (1st May), Vesak Day (5th May), National Day (9th August), Hari Raya Puasa (19th August*)

* Since the 19th of August is a Sunday, the following Monday, the 20th of August, will be a public holiday.

Donason Deen Institution (DDI) has a conducive environment for both learning and teaching. DDI is well equipped with systems and equipment to facilitate optimal academic performance.

We have two air-conditioned classrooms of sizes 15 square metres and 30 square metres, with individual capacities of 10 and 20 students respectively. This gives us a good teacher-to-student ratio of 1:10 and 1:20, ensuring that every student receives maximum attention from their teachers.

Each of our classrooms is fully equipped and includes projectors for optimal delivery of the lessons. The room is also equipped with wireless addressing system for the teachers as well as a five-channel speaker system for pleasant sound reproduction during presentations.

The entire premise is monitored 24 hours via surveillance cameras to ensure the safety of our students and their belongings. The surveillance videos can also be viewed over the internet from any location in the world at http://donason.dvrdns.org. You will have to write in to DDI to request for a password if you wish to access our surveillance footage.

The students’ admission and attendance are monitored through biometric fingerprint scanners on top of the usual signing in whenever they access any part of the DDI premises. This further enhances the security, safety and integrity of our student monitoring system.
